Disruptus is one of those games that we pull out if and when we need to have those “thinking outside the box” thought process exercises. Because that is exactly what this game requires.
Looking at an object or idea and coming up with an entirely different way to achieve something completely different or unique.

1 – Roll the die
The chosen Judge (a role that changes clockwise every round) rolls the die. The result of that roll determines what will happen next:
Create– Players take any number of elements from two cards and combine them to create a new object.
Improve – Make the object better.
Transform– Change the object on the card so that it can be used for a different purpose.
Disrupt– Imagine a way the object can be used to create a new market or change the human experience.
Judge’s Choice – The Judge chooses one of the previous categories.
2 – Flip a card (or two)
Depending on the die roll, the Judge reveals one or two cards from the top of the deck.
If the result is Create or Player’s Choice, reveal two cards.
If the result is Improve, Transform or Disrupt, reveal one card.
If the result is Judge’s Choice, the Judge decides which category will be played and reveals the corresponding number of cards.
3 – Unleash your creativity!
The Judge flips over the 1-minute sand timer and each player writes down or draws the most creative idea they can think of. Players then describe their ideas to the Judge who will then award a point to his favorite idea. The player with the most points at the end wins the game!
Disruptus can also be greatly enjoyed by playing it in a collaborative manner and as a non-competitive team building game. Think of it as a great way to start a brainstorming session!
Are you yearning to be outrageously original and let your creative juices flow? If you answered YES to this question, then this is the game for you! For one or more players Disruptus can also be played in teams. It’s also a great party game! It has you laughing and innovating from the moment the first card is flipped. Roll the game die, choose the appropriate card(s), then Create2, Improve, Transform or Disrupt. Each game comes with a pre-printed, six-sided die, 100 cards and a one-minute sand timer
